The Fountain of Youth

The Fountain of Youth lies in Exercise! Last weekend, I attended the NZ Association of Musculoskeletal Medicine scientific meeting. The theme for the gathering was “Busted Boomers” – which sounds  a bit dire but actually the common thread was that so many problems in later life are preventable. It’s all about what we do throughout our lives, including as very young children that will broadly determine our quality of life into retirement.

Winter Aches and Pains

We've had some gorgeous days of late in sunny Christchurch with plenty of opportunities to get out and enjoy our beautiful province. A couple of weeks ago when we were in the grips of those nasty frosts, a client asked me why we feel our aches and pains more in the winter, especially in arthritic joints. Getting the most from your osteopathic treatment - After treatment care

On your marks, get set, go!!!

It’s great to see so many of our patients training for the many upcoming running events around Christchurch and New Zealand this year. The Mitre 10 Mega - A Run to Remember last week was an amazing success with over 2,000 participants taking part, many of whom will attempt the City to Surf later this month. There is such a mixture of people attending these events from the novice runner, through to top competitive athletes, and those who just want to participate, whatever their fitness level may be.
